SELFSHIPPING SHRINES

This is less of a web shrine, and more of another part of my main site... ^_^; But it's fine, whatever...This page serves as a shrine for my main fictional others/yumes. The characters listed here are my ultimate comfort characters, and are extremely important to me. As such, I am strictly non-sharing with these characters!I'm not gonna kill ya if you interact with me if you happen to share any, but you'll almost certainly be blocked. No offense, of course! I'm not claiming I ~own~ these guys or anything, I just don't wanna see my husbands smoochin' anybody else, lol. :PBest viewed on desktop. Sorry, mobile users. </3

While Turo hasn't been my longest standing fictional other, I think I can say with certainty that he's provided me with the most comfort in recent years! Which is hilarious, considering that I didn't really care about him for the majority of Pokémon Violet.I went into Violet not thinking it was going to be anything out of the ordinary. I was thinking it was just going to be your standard Pokémon adventure. The only other Pokémon games I'd played at the time were from Gen 3, so that's about as deep of a story as I was ready for. I played through most of the game at a pretty slow pace, so between the occasional bits of dialogue, I was really just goofing off, not paying too much attention to the story. That was, of course, until the plot brought me to the Great Crater of Paldea, and into Area Zero proper.Holy crap, I did not expect the game to get as creepy as it did. The soundtrack for the Great Crater was the first thing that gave me the creeps for sure, and that feeling only seemed to intensify as I went through disabling the locks in the Research Stations, reading notes along the way. It was awesome. But what really got me was this. This freaking part.

"Hello, children.""I'm sorry.""I'm sorry. Hello, children.""I'm s-s-s-s-s-sorry. Sorry. S-s-s-s-s-sorry. I-I-I I-I-I’m sssssssssorrrrrrrrrrrr-rrrrrry-eeeeee— Hello, children. Hello. Hello.""Hello, child. Childrenen. Childnen. Childeren. Children.""...Initiating restart.""Ah, ah, ɑh. Hel|o. Can you hear me now?""Please ffffvforgive my previous transmission. There seems to be some signal interference.""... ... ... The locks have all been disabled at last. Please make your way now to the Zero Lab—which lies at the very bottom of Area Zero."

GODDDD. I freaking DIED. Listen, the tension was already through the roof, so when THAT happened, I was just like kJHSKDJHAKSJDAAAAAAA!!! GAHHH after I got over the unease, I immediately in love. Both with the game, and the character in general. What can I say? Turo (and AI Turo, but I'm classing them as one character for ease, shh) fits multiple criteria from my "list of characteristics that would make Ren would bang and/or smooch a fictional character". Lookie:

  • Be a man (or at least masculine).

  • Be an android/robot, or perhaps a cyborg (bonus points for glitchy/distorted speech!).

  • Be an old man and/or a father (we love DILFs in this household).

  • Have a tragic backstory (especially if its their own fault).

  • Be a little bit of a bastard (nuff said).

SEE WHAT I MEAN?? I was doomed from the very start. Damn you, Game Freak. Damn you.
